AaBbCc

My little buddy, my partner in crime has gone away
but at least for only half a day.
He stood there waiting and watching.
Then out to the street he went.
First sight of the bus he got excited.
Really excited!
So there he was, ready and willing

to grow up.
Isn't he too young for this?

95 Years Young

Last month my grandpa celebrated his 95th birthday

The party rocked thanks to so many cousins of mine!

We celebrated with a lot of yummy food,

a lot of fun games (Mike beat me can you believe it?!),

and a lot of mini marshmallows!
The grand and great grand kids had to retaliate against grandpa's excellent aim.

I think he had fun, we all did!

Happy birthday Grandpa! I hope I can be this young at 95!

Finally Here

After being homeless for 5 weeks we have finally found ourselves settled in a little home here in Maine. Mike has lived through his first week of work and loved it. We've met awesome people here and Blake has made new friends.
Unfortunately we are still tackling the unpacking part of it all - blah, blah, blah.

For the 5 week vacation, we had a blast with family and now miss them all.
First we went and visited with Mikes family

Hanging with grandma.

Parade!

Blakes 1st taste of cotton candy. He was so excited to say the least.

Nerf gun wars.

The ultimate slip n slide

and ultimate terror.

It was pretty fast!

We backpacked beautiful Escalante.

Last we went to visit my family.

We all met up in Oregon for a family reunion.

This is my proof that I am the only sister that married normal.

Well OK, at least half normal.

great laughs

Whale watching.

Enjoying each others company.

Enjoying the beach.

We love seeing our families, loved the beach, loved the camping and all the other adventures we had.
Now our new life begins...

HomeLess

We are finally packed and moved out of our house.
This is the last picture we took of it before we left.
The bubble makes it look a lot wider than it really is.

We decided to put our things in storage and take a month vacation before Mike starts working. So for now we will be mooching off of our families.
Then we will be
Maine bound.
Yep you heard it right, Maine. Where we will embrace the cold, long winters. Well we will at least try to. Really we are excited, Mike found a great job in a great town that suits us well.

On another note Blake loved the packing part. He pretty much got to run around and do whatever pleased him in our partially empty house. Which obviously is really fun for a kid.

Including getting buried in our mattress.

Some Years Later...

You could say HE is a pretty excited.
You could say WE are pretty excited.
You could say we walk with a different stride.
Because Mike just graduated!

Congratulations Mike!

So many candles... so little cake

My birthday this year came and went with the busy week.

It was hot and humid, which made for a great sweaty look. It may be why I am a bit reluctant to post any pictures of me that day...

In the evening we had a little birthday BBQ on the back porch.

During the day we hung out as a family

I was a great day!
Here's to counting my blessing and trying really hard not to count my wrinkles.

Moving On

Mikes boards are passed and graduation is in 3 weeks!
Where are we going?
Well, we don't know.
It could be Maine.
It could be Texas.
It could be Washington state.
We also took a jab at N. Carolina but no job offers came of it.
Basically we could be at either end of the country.
At this point, I'm just glad our marriage survived these 7 years
of intense student life together.

For real though, Mike is my super hero!
No, literally my super hero!
He had to fight pretty hard to get here and I am proud of him.
Congrats Mike on passing your boards!
