It's Back To The Baby Stage For Us!

My friends,

we've got some catching up to do...

 While Mike and Blake hit the freshly snow covered slops, I thought it would be a great time to update my blog.  Since it has been quite a while...

After 4 years of being diaper free and many years of restful nights, we are about to head back into the "baby stage".  

There couldn't be anything we want more in life right now than another child to bless our home.  It's been a long and emotional road that we have traveled.  Mike has been such a great support system.  I really couldn't of gotten through it all without his loving words and shoulder to cry on.  Even though it has been so hard, our relationship has grown so much.  I am greatful for the things we have learned and how far we have come together.    

We are more than excited (especially Blake) to have one more join our family!

The baby is due to come March 30th.  We decided to wait for the arrival to find out the gender.

This One Goes To #8

I just wanted to pause for a quick moment and wish my Mr. a happy anniversary!  These have been the best 8 years of my life.  Not every day has been perfect, but that is what has made us grow together and brought us to where we are today.  I couldn't of found a better friend to share my life with! 

I love you, not only for who you are but for who I am with you!

His Snorkel Themed Party

It's been a long winter here in Maine.  

So back in February we decided to take a break from the snow and head south.

 We went to Grand Cayman and Jamaica

 My sister, her husband and their little boy who is Blake's age joined us.

Delroy - our Jamaican tour guide was great,

 the water was beautiful,

 and the coconuts were perfect!

When the vacation ended we were welcomed back to Maine with enough snow to build a snowman this big!

Two Down One To Go

My two favorite people just celebrated their birthdays.  

Blake turned 6!

Mike, well we'll just say he turned old ;)

Blake asked for a jet themed birthday party.  

We celebrated at a friends house with their little girl who had a heart themed party.  Hence the red.

I would like to take the credit for the awesome cake, but folks, that goes to Mike.  He worked hard and did such a good job.  It even tasted great!

 Mike asked for a snorkel themed birthday party.  It turned out great!

This year we celebrated our (7th) anniversary in Quebec City.

 Looking back, our hard times have made our marriage stronger and our good times have made it so fun.

I couldn't of picked a better match for me.  Mike laughs when I try to be funny, he keeps me calm when I get frustrated, he makes me smile when I am sad and, of course, is happy when I am happy.  

What more could I ask for?

Each year turns out to be sweeter than the last!

Dear to me

I love this picture of my grandparents.  So beautiful and so perfect.  

My beautiful grandma, an inspirational woman who lives an amazing life with an amazing legacy, recently turned 90!

 She gave me a lot of my cherished childhood memories.  Most important she gave me love.  A part of who I am today is because of her. 

 I think she had a great celebration.  All of her 7 kids were able to make it up to S. Alberta for the big birthday bash.   

 I love her smile and her grace.  

Grandma, you are beautiful!

And you will always be a part of who I am.

A Little Flava of Maine

The first time I had ever been to Maine was the day we moved here. I was a bit worried b/c we were moving even further from our families and to a very unknown area out in the boonies.  

Well turns out I love it here!

We live not too far from Bar Harbor.

Which is a place I have fallen in love with!

 The ocean scene is so different here than in Jersey. 

I'm unsure how Mike feels about that???

The water is a lot cooler!

Which made this moment not as tolerable.

The weather is turning and it's so beautiful here.  

 Also, it turns out there are only girl children here.

But he doesn't seem to mind

I'm sure he'll like it even more when they all get older!

My little buddy, my partner in crime has gone away 

but at least for only half a day.  

He stood there waiting and watching.

Then out to the street he went.

First sight of the bus he got excited.

Really excited!

 So there he was, ready and willing 

 

to grow up.

95 Years Young

Last month my grandpa celebrated his 95th birthday

The party rocked thanks to so many cousins of mine!

We celebrated with a lot of yummy food,

a lot of fun games (Mike beat me can you believe it?!),

and a lot of mini marshmallows!

The grand and great grand kids had to retaliate against grandpa's excellent aim.

I think he had fun, we all did!

Happy birthday Grandpa! I hope I can be this young at 95!
